Patient First

Why Visit?

The nation’s biggest and favourite patient safety event.

Patient safety is the biggest single issue in the NHS and UK healthcare. After a year of unprecedented focus on patient safety, 2017 starts the next stage in the journey to eradicate avoidable harm and deliver improved outcomes. After a year of unprecedented focus on patient safety.

The legacy of the Francis report (and the government’s formal response) into Mid Staffordshire, the Keogh review into trusts with unusually high mortality rates and the Berwick review on behalf of the Prime Minister is system-wide acknowledgement that patient safety must be the driving force for commissioners and providers.

Patient safety is an unarguable fundamental of healthcare services. Or it should be. The reality is that interaction with health services results in avoidable harm. Unfortunately, this harm is all too frequent.  It not only creates poorer health outcomes – including mortality – but also results in higher costs. By attending Patient First you will come away with practical solutions that can be implemented into your organisation now and in the future to protect your patients in the most efficient way possible.

Patient First is the national healthcare event for UK healthcare and patient safety professionals,  created to support Professor Don Berwick’s call for a learning culture and providing two days of compelling content for boards, doctors, nurses, managers, pharmacists and all those concerned about delivering improved safety outcomes to patients and service users.

In it's fourth year, Patient First has become the nation’s biggest and favourite patient safety event.

Patient safety training shouldn't be available to only those who can afford it

We believe patient safety is such an important topic, so why should quality training be reserved for the fortunate few with the budget to spare?

We are dedicated to world class training to all those responsible for patient safety.

So although the ticket price is £399 + VAT, we will be distributing a number of education grants to qualifying healthcare professionals to allow delegates to attend for without cost.

We are circulating education bursary codes to CCG's, Trusts and Care Homes. Please speak to your Medical Director, Head of Nursing or Head of Department to obtain the voucher code that will allow you to waive the delegate fee.

If you have not been allocated a pass through your work place please email to ascertain the availability.
